Mark Salmons of Rolla Missouri , known to almost everyone as DJ Smokey, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center . He was 26 years old. He was born in Columbia , Missouri on March 31, 1979 to Walter William Salts, Sr. and Leilani K. (Lewis) Sterling . He was married to Lena Smith on April 10, 2004.He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes wife, Lena , son Michael Matthew Salmons, father, Walter Salts, Sr., mother Leilani Sterling, brothers J.R. Salmons, Edward Salmons, and Franklin Salmons III, sister Frances Fortner, grandfather William H. Salts, two half brothers Walter W. Salts II and Brandon Michael Ditmeyer, aunts Darlene Salmons and Connie Hughes along with nieces, nephews, other extended family and dear friends. A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 1:00pm in Rolla , Missouri.
